Free Montmartre Tour: From Martyrdom to Love Journey

Hi! I’m writing to share something incredible. Recently, I met a friend at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. We planned to visit a small shop dedicated to angels. As we left, we found a feather. Just then, a white dove appeared, so we followed it. It flew toward the basilica like a messenger from ancient Gaule. Gliding past the Church of Saint-Pierre, it landed at Place du Tertre, posing for the artists. Then it flew to the Montmartre vineyard, plucked a vine twig, and continued on past the Lapin Agile to the Maison Rose, evoking Picasso and his dove of peace. It stopped at Dalida’s bust, as if offering love to the tragic star, then flew by the statue of Saint Denis and on to the Passe-Muraille, finally landing on the blades of the Moulin de la Galette. Still not done, it soared over the Bateau Lavoir, Picasso’s old studio, before coming to rest at the Wall of “Je t’aime.” That’s when we understood: the dove was carrying a message of peace, love, and freedom.
