Dublin is a great, diverse city with an amazing depth of history and culture – and it tells stories of rebellion, class, pride and struggle. These stories are not your usual walking tour, and are a tribute to those who truly make today's city. This tour looks at Ireland’s revolutionaries, from roguish rebels like Lord Edward Fitzgerald to lesbian snipers of the 1916 Rising – we look at some of the more fascinating citizens of the city that shaped how we live today. “More Than History – Understanding the Irish Soul”
We did this tour as a family and really enjoyed it. Evin has a calm, clear way of telling stories — easy to follow even for non-native English speakers. Rather than just walking past the famous sites, he focused on Ireland’s revolutionary history and helped us understand how it shaped the Irish people today. He was happy to answer questions along the way. Would recommend.

The perspective of the revolutinaries gave an really good insight to the struggles and rise of the dubliners, from the early years and today. “Brilliant tour, Evin is a gem”
It turned out I was the only person on the tour and Evin went ahead anyway! He is a fountain of knowledge with an eye for surprising and informative stories, building a vivid picture of Dublin's community and development through British rule. It was great to hear about ordinary people who did extraordinary things through a broad raft of time, and it's made me look at the city totally differently. It was a privilege to do all of this in direct conversation, Evin's dedication is remarkable, I couldn't recommend more highly!

Evin's tour focused on the story of individuals in Dublin's history and was planned to give an insight into how the city developed. “History, People and Revolutionaries by Evin Ryan”
Evin gave a good foundation and feeling for the history and especially the reasons and societal changes across the last couple of centruies that led to the Irish Revolution. He had solid knowledge on the main topics and some fun trivia. Also a great guy to talk to who will give his best to answer all your questions and isn't shy to give some recomendations for lunch etc. Had a great time!

Evin started out by telling us about his background, which is in architecture, but he was extremely knowledgeable. He made the history come to life as he showed us around different parts of downtown Dublin. He says he has only been doing this a couple of weeks, but you would never know that.

Evin was a very friendly, funny and good informed local guide. It was a bit difficult to see the meeting point, but he luckily found us. We learned a lot about old and modern history in Ireland/Dublin. Although we were only 2 people who booked the tour that day, the tour took place and became a private tour, where we could ask lots of questions and get recommendations for our stay in Dublin.
