Things to do The Wonderful Colmar Walking Tour
Discover Colmar, a postcard city that will make you fall in love at first sight. At the chosen time, we will begin the free guided tour of Colmar at the door of the Collegiate Church of San Martín, in the city center. During the hours of the tour, we will discover one of the mythical places of Alsace, which is full of walls and houses full of flowers that look at the channels. We will walk the typical streets of Colmar while we fall in love with the stories and legends that surround the city. Will Colmar be the town where Disney was inspired to set Beauty and the Beast? Did you know that the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty was born here? Colmar's architecture will dazzle us at every step we take, such as, for example, its mansions of the city's artisan and merchant bourgeoisie. In addition, we will walk through Little Venice, one of the most beautiful and well-known neighborhoods. In this neighborhood of Colmar, we will discover the wooden frameworks that decorate the houses or the calm and relaxing channels that form the Launch river. A fairytale city! El resumen es que no fue de nuestro agrado y por eso finalizamos el tour aproximadamente a los 50 minutos de su inicio.

Totally enjoyed Lucas' walkthrough of Colmar's history, sights, and tastes. From the old town to little Venice, the information he gave about them was intriguing. Especially enjoyed the sundial that was built into the Collegiale St. Martin de Colmar church to local artist Bartholdi's life and work (he designed the Statue of Liberty). Always fun to hear a local talk about their city. Thank you, Lucas.

“I’d take this free walking tour anytime! ”
Delivered beyond expectations. Lucas our guide was very professional, friendly and very much informed. No doubt that he’s a local. He contacted us ahed of time and provided tips on how to get ti the meeting place.
He is prepared and his content is very much organized. Other than the historical stuff, there were 3 stops where we tasted cheese, local bread and pastries.
Very happy that I took this tour. Good thing that all the paid walking tour were already fully booked. I would have not discovered Lucas.

Excellent tour!! One of the best we’ve ever gotten to do. We really enjoyed the history of Colmar, history of the buildings and the free samples at local shops. Our guide Lucas was an excellent tour guide and made the 2 hours fly by, we were both sad when it was over. 10/10 would recommend!

Está bien saber la historia de cada sitio, pero yo si contrato un free tour es para que además me lleve a ver lo más bonito y emblemático de cada sitio...
Pude ver más cosas por mi cuenta que con él.

Lucas was fantastic. He showed us around his beautiful city and told us interesting things about it and its famous citizens.
We got to try some local cheeses, Christmas delicacies and biscuits which was an unexpected surprise.

We really enjoyed the tour with Camila who went out of her way to include everyone. We heard a lot about the history, the food, the architecture and the traditions of the region. Her English is charming, she was very considerate, trying to keep us out of the sun. The two hours didn't feel long at all. We would love to come back!
