Join us and discover the magic of Colmar, a fairytale village full of charm! Wander through cobbled streets, taste local flavors, and explore hidden gems from Little Venice to the Covered Market. An unforgettable journey awaits!
Colmar is not to be looked at, it is to be lived! I invite you to stroll through its historic center. It is not just a list of monuments: it is a journey through time and the cultural mix of this border region, reflected in its architecture, gastronomy, art, etc. I will tell you how geographical and human factors have made Colmar famous for its wines, and why Alsace has been central to the history of France and Germany.
We will visit the imposing Collegiate Church of St. Martin. We will learn about the life of the creator of the Statue of Liberty at the Bartholdi Museum. Did you know he was born right here?
At the Wine and Chocolate Museum, we will be tempted. We will see the farm and the smallest house in Colmar.
We will discover postcard Alsace in the Hansi Museum, the enigmatic House of Heads, the elegant Pfister House, and the Old Customs House. We will walk past the Schwendi Fountain, Curtitori Street, and the romantic Little Venice.
We will end the walk at the Covered Market, which is surrounded by local products. We will not enter the museums, but I will tell you what you will find in each, so you can choose based on your curiosity.
