Join us to discover the stunning castles of Catania! Explore their rich history, architectural beauty, and breathtaking views. Don’t miss the chance to step back in time and uncover the secrets of these magnificent landmarks!
Departure at 8:00 AM from the Lidl parking lot in Monte Po. We’ll pass through Misterbianco and head to Motta S. Anastasia to visit the first castle. Then, we’ll continue towards Paternò for a stop at the saltworks. Afterward, we’ll visit the Simeto area and Ponte Barca before heading to the Poira Castle. We’ll conclude the tour with a visit to the Norman Castle in Paternò before returning to Catania.
Maximum participants: 20 people.
What to bring: Packed breakfast, at least 2 liters of water, and optional refreshments. Tour Notes: Open to participants with mountain bikes or gravel bikes. Bikes must be in good condition, and all riders must wear a helmet and bring a repair kit or spare inner tube, sunscreen, and sunglasses. The tour will take place on provincial and state roads outside urban areas. Please note that the route lasts several hours, covering approximately 35 km. Times may vary depending on weather conditions or technical issues during the excursion.
