We begin our tours at Market Hill, which we will walk for 2 hours through the beautiful streets of Cambridge. We will visit several colleges such as Kings College, Pembroke College. Queens College, Gonville and Caiuss, Trinity College, St John's College. We also pass famous places such as the Adlerkneipe, the Mathematical Bridge, the University Library and much more.
One of the most prestigious universities in the world awaits you on this free walking tour of Cambridge: get ready to stroll through the elegant gardens of the famous colleges and admire their most important monuments! Having met your guide on Market Hill, you'll embark on your route to the nearby Great St Mary's Church. Did you know that this Medieval temple was the location of the funeral of the late great physicist Stephen Hawking?
Walking onwards to King's College, one of the many student centres that make up the University of Cambridge, you'll get to admire the façade of its chapel while you learn all about the history of the city. Not far from here, you'll see the Corpus Clock, and your guide will reveal the significance of its symbolism.
You'll pass by The Eagle, one of the best known pubs in Cambridge, on the way to the Cavendish Laboratories, the Physics Department whose researchers have won 29 Nobel Prizes so far. Reaching Pembroke College, you'll feel immersed in the university spirit of the city.
Cross over Mathematical Bridge, one of many walkways which span the River Cam. Do you know what makes this one special? An optical illusion that you'll discover on your free tour! You'll then head onwards to admire the grounds of Trinity, Gonville and Caius and St John's Colleges, before your tour comes to an end by the curious Round Church of Cambridge.
