Things to do Discover Las Lajas and the Cemetery of Tulcán

Discover the wonder of the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de las Lajas, an architectural jewel located in the canyon of the Guáitara River, Ipiales. Our tour departs from the Plaza de Nariño in Pasto at 9:00 am. For our first stop, we will cross the border to Tulcán to visit the José María Azael Franco Guerrero cemetery, unique for its sculptures carved in cypress trees. After lunch, we will head to the Sanctuary of Las Lajas. Upon arrival, we will descend along the path of the artisans, enjoying breathtaking views of the canyon. We will visit the imposing Sanctuary, renowned for its neo-gothic style and deep spirituality. You will be able to explore the temple's museum, attend mass, or walk along its trails. The tour includes the accompaniment and guided visit to the Sanctuary of Las Lajas and its attractions and the cemetery of Tulcan, explaining all the historical part of these places, but does not include the cost of round trip transportation, museum entrance, and lunch, but we will take you to the best spots of each site, and you will have the accompaniment to leave and arrive safely to each stop of the tour.
