Things to do Jewish Quarter Walking Tour

BOOK AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE! This is a guided tour on request, we need to find a guide for you. Walk through the Jewish quarter with your local, professional guide (Czech-born). You will visit the Prague Jewish Museum = the synagogues (Maisel, Old-New, Pinkas, Klaus, Spanish), Ceremonial hall, and the Old Jewish Cemetery. Upon arrival you need to buy a ticket (550 CZK/person at your own expense). With this ticket you will visit all of the sites. Your guide will go with you to all the sites and will explain the history of each of the building and what is exhibited there. He or she will cover the 1000 year history from the Medieval Ages, over the Enlightenment, Second World War up to the present situation. Today only two synagogues are still active (Spanish and the Old-New). In the other synagogues are different exhibitions such as the history of the Czech Jewry, cycle of life and the Jewish holidays. Pinkas synagogue is a dedicated place as a holocaust memorial. With your guide you will be able to understand what you see in front of you, what is the meaning of the object and how and when it was used. Please note entrance fees are not included in the tour.
