* Don't forget to check out and possibly book our other tours in the "Old Town & Jewish Quarter" and the "New Town" of Prague. * Prague has the largest castle complex in the world. It consists of several palaces, churches, gardens, and many other special buildings. Prague Castle has a rich history, and you will learn about it during this tour. We start the tour at the Strahov Monastery and then visit all the special buildings in the castle, such as St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George's Basilica, the famous Golden Lane, and, of course, the Lobkowicz Palace. At 12:00 PM, we will, of course, also see a big change in the guards. In the summer, we also visit one of the well-known special palace gardens. Will you delve with us into the history of the largest castle complex in the world? Price: free tours do not have a set price; instead, each person gives the tour guide at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €15 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour)

Who knows - date juat changed to 2 days latwr than booked by which time I had left Prague - tour should hav been cancelled but they wanted to avoid a cancellation fee

I found the tour with Huig to be very informative. He was competent and answered all the questions he was asked. He had a lot of information about all the historical stories of the city. You could see that he loved the city very much and wanted you to know everything. I also found his tips for restaurants great!!

“Maartje has been a very nice guide for our 'private' tour”
Maartje's was our guide for one of her last tour of Prague. She has been very professional during the trip, giving a private tour for only 2 tourists. We continued our luck with the amazing Dutch Kayaker. She took us on the castle tour, which you don’t go inside but that’s okay, you don’t need to go inside to be at awe by the castles beauty. Two and a half hours goes by quick. You get to see the changing of the guard which you will likely have a good spot to see it we were right in the front. Around the castle and then a walk around back closer to the city centre finishing by the lovely Czech Senate gardens with lots of green space water and animals to see. You won’t soon forget this amazing experience. Lastly she’s so great at what she does you feel like you’re walking around with a friend and not a tour guide.

“Saaie tour met (te)veel info”
De gids (Huig) gaf veel info, maar was niet goed verstaanbaar. Daardoor was het moeilijk om onze aandacht erbij te houden. Rondleiding was in 2 delen verdeeld. Eerste deel ging heel snel omdat we op tijd bij het wisselen van de wachte moesten zijn. Daarna hadden we meer tijd.
Omdat de rondleiding tegen gevallen is, hebben we de dag erna een rondleiding gedaan met een andere gids en die ronddleiding was veel beter.

“Rather mediocre”
The guide was nice but she had little to work with. We could not enter any of the buildings because there is an entry fee, so we saw all the buildings from the outside. It was frustrating. In my opinion, it was a waste of time and money (20 euro).

“Perfect overview tour of castle grounds”
There is so much to see in and around the largest castle in the world that this is the perfect overview tour to take to understand the grounds and decide what buildings you would want to go back & tour.
Our guide was very informative about the different buildings open for tours & what to expect in the for planning extended time there.
