Departing from the center of Prague at the appointed time, we will head north across the border to Dresden, the capital of the state of Saxony. The trip will take a little less than two hours.
Once in the city, we will walk across the Augustus Bridge, the most famous bridge in Dresden, and visit the Catholic Cathedral, the Zwinger Gardens, the Frauenkirche church, and the Semperoper, the most famous opera house in Germany.
From the cultural point of view, we will talk about the sad historical events that made Dresden famous, such as the Allied bombings in World War II and the communist repression for almost half a century.
The complete tour includes the following sites: Hauptstrasse, Dreikönigskirche, Goldener Reiter, Augustusbrücke, Catholic Cathedral, Semperoper, Zwinger, Royal Palace, Parade of the Electing Princes, Stables, Frauenkirche, Socialist building Kultur Palast, Brülsche Terrasse, and the Albertinum.
