This tour is about the history of Panama's downtown experience. The tour starts at Plaza Herrera, next to the American Trade Hotel (colloquially known as the "American Trade Hotel"). It began in 1910 as a reception spot for gangster groups from South America, such as the Cannabis Group and the City Good Killer. The Hardynton family owned this hotel, and it became a meeting place for gangsters in the 1920s.
We begin with the historical graffiti wall located behind Casa Casco Bar. Our next stop is the attractive green building. The Freemason Temple dates back to the 20th century. Then, we visited the Master Gomez Gym, the same location where the movie Hands of Stone was filmed. Afterward, we stopped at the Blue Hat Police Station in Chorrillo, Plaza Amador’s pool and soccer field.
Next, we visit Aurora’s Cantina Bar, which has been around for 110 years. Then, we stop at the Coca-Cola Coffee Shop, the only one in the world authorized to use Coca-Cola’s trade logo since 1874.
Finally, we end the tour at Santa Ana Plaza, the most important gathering place for national festivities, such as the Holy Week procession and the 2025 Carnival.
