Join our free walking tour and discover Ottawa’s heart! Explore key landmarks and feel the vibrant life of Canada’s capital, where history, democracy, and culture come together in every step.
We’ll begin with the large Maman spider sculpture located by the National Gallery. The beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral is our next stop, with its gorgeous stained glass windows. Kiweki Point, with its beautiful overlook, comes next before walking into Major's Hill Park, which really should be called Colonel By Park. It is the setting for hundreds of tulips in May.
Then we spend a few minutes inside the Château Hotel, where we view a hidden gem that was once lost but is now back up to Parliament Hill, which is always bustling. We meander down to Sparks Street for more history, onward to the National War Memorial, where soldiers guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Next, a walk along the Rideau Canal before a few minutes inside the National Arts Centre to see Ottawa’s finest entertainment venue.
We finally end our walking tour in the ByWard Market, where you can enjoy a gelato, a BeaverTail, a sandwich at a popular Italian market, or even fish and chips with a pint.
