Walking Tour Around Orvieto

We begin our walk from the undisputed symbol of Orvieto: the Duomo. Its majestic facade, rich in sculptures and mosaics, is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Once inside, we are enchanted by the light filtering through the stained-glass windows and the beauty of the chapels, including the Chapel of San Brizio with frescoes by Beato Angelico. Later, we descend into the depths of Orvieto to explore the underground city. A labyrinth of tunnels and cisterns reveals the city's thousand-year history and allows us to appreciate the ingenuity of the ancient builders. We continue our day strolling through the streets of the historic center, admiring the noble palaces, craft stores, and lively squares. We will absolutely climb the Moor's Tower, which offers a panoramic view of the city and surrounding countryside.
