“Excellent Tour of Nice - Interesting Stories and Helpful Informa”
Since COVID we have noticed that the quality of most walking tours has gone way down. Information scattered, facts not tied to a story so not really interesting - not the case with this tour. Dinara did a wonderful job guiding us thru Nice. She pointed out historical sites and stories that were entertaining and memorable. We really enjoyed the tour and recommend - time well spent!

This was one of the best tours we've been to and we can't recommend it enough. You will get a lot of history presented in a very nice way. Local tasting and great pictures were a bonus. Marcin was amazing guide and when we back to Cote d'Azur we will do it again.

“Nice guy in Nice”
This was the second time we have used freetour.com. Once again it was a great way to get our bearings. Jonathan the guide was a really nice guy and was full of knowledge and anecdotes. To be honest we would have preferred a few less stories and a bit more walking but everybody is different. Another person on our tour was enthralled by everything Jonathan told us. We gave Jonathan 25 euros for the two of us. It was great value. We've do e Malaga and Nice this way now and will definitely use the site on our next trip to Malta.

“Nice, a story around every corner!”
Masine was very informative and wove Nice's history into the everyday. Would have been even better if we had been in time, to catch the lift to Castle Hill. I could not climb the stairs after the tour concluded!!!

We did enjoy our tour, the guide was very informative, engaged, well prepared and organized. We particularly appreciated several nice recommendations as to food and shopping.
The only thing to perhaps consider for improvent was that the talk was quite fast and thus difficult for us to follow in 100%

“Guide was good but group to big ”
We have been on a lot of these tours around Europe and this group was by far the biggest one we have seen (30 people). Even though the guide used a microphone it was unfortunately very hard to hear him. We were exhausted at the end of the tour, not from walking but from trying to hear all the stories. Cause the stories were good and very interesting, the guide was excellent. Except that he repeatedly were talking about his bad other guides are (students lying and making up stories, to expensive etc.). That was not very charming.

“Disappointing”
We got some useful information and saw some interesting places during the tour. However, at the end the guide pressured us to give more money than we wanted. This is completely against the 'freetour' spirit and given that all participants have different purchasing power, everyone should be allowed to give what they can or see fit. This was a disappointment. In all transparency, the 2 of us gave 5 euros each which is of course not the same as the generous payment of some of the senior US citizens that were on the tour. Some people come by plane and sleep in a fancy hotel, others hitchhike and couch-surf. If a guide only wants to cater to the first group, he should not be a guide on this platform.

We enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all things Nice. However, a slower pace and more stops where seating is available would be helpful, as would maps which could be handed out at the beginning of the tour. A map with the route marker would be super useful for later reference.

“Last-minute but trip-changing”
We booked our walking tour for that morning and met up with Vanessa for the evening tour and it was a game-changer.
We had planned on walking around Old Nice for the day any way and I figured booking a walking tour would be a great way to explore and know what to look for. Vanessa gave us great historical context, introduced us to little known parts of the region and had interesting stories to tell at sites we likely would have photographed and Googled.
Her recommendations for what to try and what to watch out for were also very helpful as we just started our vacation in the city. Would likely book a tour with this agency again.

Mr. Marcin was so fun to tour around the old town of Nice, he gave the coolest historical information about the tips and tricks, hidden gems of the area and the surroundings. We even tried the famous "socca" from the best place, and he helped us make the most of the Nice with his recommendations of local places. The best way to skip tourst traps and enjoy the area like real nice people. I strongly recommend his guideness. Plus he has a good sense of humour :)

In Total it was a good tour with a duration of 3hours and I was happy to be part of a freewalking Tour! The only thing that leave me speechless was that the guide judged my tip... I thought that a freewalking tour gives you the opportunity to pay as much as you can and as you want - if you are not happy with the tip you getting as a guide, maybe you should write your wished tip down or do a tour with fix price
