This is a self-guided exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played outdoors, on the streets of Maastricht. You will explore the city across 13 iconic locations while following a medieval quest about three knights. At each location, you'll be solving a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on various elements such as monuments, graffiti, and facades. The game is mainly focused around the historic architecture and landmarks in the heart of Maastricht-Centrum and includes many locally known facts that simply cannot be found in a guidebook or a browser search. Starting from the Basilica of Our Lady, the stops are spaced an average of around 250m apart, with each location taking around 8 min to complete. The route also passes through Nieuwenhof Gate, Natural History Museum and Vrijthof Museum. At every stop, the app unlocks a new chapter and guides people to the next location.
