Join us for an unforgettable sunrise at Indian Nose! Hike through the highlands and witness the first light over Lake Atitlán. Experience breathtaking views from this sacred Mayan site and start your day with an adventure you won’t forget!
The day starts around 4:30/5 am as we embark on our journey from Tzununá and San Marcos. In these hours, it's a bit dark and cold out, so dress in layers that you can later take off.
As we pass through the quiet towns, we make our way to San Pablo la Laguna, where we deviate from the lake and start climbing a couple thousand feet above sea level. We make our way on pickup trucks or motorcycles (depending on group size) and pass through the 17 curves that lead us to Santa Clara. It's quite the thrill! As we reach our destination, a hike of about 30-45 minutes, 2,263 meters high, we enjoy the breathtaking sunrise and watch a parade of colors as they go from red to orange to blue.
The lake, with its majestic blues and the green vegetation surrounding it, is an unforgettable experience to add to your bucket list. We will have a chance to enjoy some local food afterwards at the town market!
