“Guide didn‘t come - disappointing”

We arrived at the meeting point on time. But the guide John wasn‘t there. After 45 minutes of waiting we left. Unfortunately there was no phone number to get into contact. Very disappointing! Our afternoon was spoiled. Now we are looking forward to get back the prepaid fee - cross fingers!

“wonderful experience”

John provided us with a very informative and entertaining tour of La Rochelle, He knows the town very well and gave us the history in a light way that made the stories come alive. we were just a group of 4; too bad that other tourists missed this great opportunity. we also appreciated his recommendations re: restaurants and shops to patronize. I went back to purchase hand made chocolates at a store he suggested. the finished products are amazing.

“Informative, entertaining ... a great tour ”

Our guide, John, was well informed and skilled in interacting with the group. He kept the pace just right while taking us around many of the interesting locations in central La Rochelle over a two hour period. We were informed about history, culture and the beautiful sites of the area - but the time was light and it was fun for all. I have been on many free walking tours across Europe, and this is certainly a good one. I would recommend for any visitor new to La Rochelle.

“Definitely do this Walking Tour in La Rochelle ”

The walking tour in La Rochelle is excellent. Gives you a wonderful insight into the history and culture of this beautiful city. The tour is full of wonderful tips for places to eat and things to do. John our tour guide was very informative, knowledge and great fun. The 2 hours went so quickly. 5 star a must for all visitors to La Rochelle.

“Great tour around La Rochelle with John”

John is a very sympathetic person. During his tour he gives an overview of the history of LR. He also gives great advice of where to go, eat and drink as a tourist. Our tour included a liquor tasting (Pineaut and other local spirits) at a local store during the walk, which was both interesting and delicious. We definitely recommend taking this tour, best at the beginning of your stay in LR. You will know your way around in LR afterwards.

“Excellent tour”

I really enjoyed this tour with John. He is clearly passionate and enthusiastic about La Rochelle and his energy is contagious! His tips for things to do and places to go especially where to eat and drink we're fantastic and I had a much better experience of La Rochelle as a result. Highly recommended!
