Things to do La Rochelle's Lost Treasure: Self-Guided Exploration Game
This is a self-guided exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played through the old port district of La Rochelle. You will explore 13 different locations while playing as a marine archaeologist searching for a hidden map leading to a lost treasure. At each location, you'll solve a real-world puzzle by searching for clues on monuments, graffiti, and facades. The route focuses mainly around the old town, blending real history with rumors only longtime residents know. Perfect for history enthusiasts, treasure hunters and curious travelers.
Starting from Exposition modus operandi, the stops are spaced an average of around 250m apart, with each location taking around 7 min to complete. The route also passes through Tour de l'Horloge, The Red Lighthouse of La Rochelle and Quai Valin Square. At each location, you'll solve a challenge and receive instructions for the next chapter.
