Things to do Kutaisi: Walking tour & Tskaltubo Abandoned Sanatoriums

Begin your Walking tour at the iconic white columns near the Meskhishvili Theatre. Stroll down historic Rustaveli Street to the scenic White Bridge. Along the way, enjoy a fresh Georgian pretzel from a local bakery, a tasty bite of daily life. Explore the bustling Green Bazaar, where locals trade fresh produce, spices, and homemade goods. Walk across the Chain Bridge with views of the Rioni River. End your tour at the foot of the steps to Bagrati Cathedral. (Walking tour is around 1.30 hours.) After the walking tour in Kutaisi, we’ll head by comfortable vehicle to Tskaltubo, a small, lush town located about 20 minutes from the city. Once a luxurious Soviet spa resort, Tskaltubo is now famous for its mysterious, abandoned sanatoriums. Some of them are slowly being reclaimed by nature, making it a favorite location for urban explorers and photographers. We will walk through the parks and streets of Tskaltubo, exploring the exteriors (and some safe interiors) of the most famous sanatoriums. At the end of the tour, we’ll return you to the center of Kutaisi. Timing is fixed for platform bookings, but if you have any additional requests, please don't hesitate to contact us.
