“17/12/24 walking tour”

It was just myself and the guide for this tour. Iryna was there before. We did some introductions and chatted first. She explained at a high level where we would walk. She used an iPad to help show pictures to give more details and to show what things were like previously. The tour moved a good pace, as it was just me and her we could chat and walk at the same time. The entire time she was giving bits of information and details which I had missed when I walked around the city myself initially. If I had questions they were answered clearly. Weather was very rainy but we kept going regardless and even had a laugh about it. Overall, very good informative tour which is well worth doing.

“Very good tour”

It is a very good tour if you're coming to Ukraine for the first time. Our guide explained the history of the country from its very origins and showed us all the main sights. She was very open to questions not only about the content of the tour but also about life in Ukraine. Tip: Wear sport shoes and comfortable clothes. A water bottle and a snack will come in handy as well. The tour is 2h long and Kiev is not a flat city like most european capitals. You will be walking up and down stairs and very steep slopes so be prepared.

“Great local tour ”

It was fun to learn more about the history of Ukraine. It really surprised me to find out that Russia was founded by Vikings in the Ukraine, that Vladimir was the first czar and that the country was once called Little Russia. Also many beautiful sights on the way!

We had an interesting tour with Amalia. She was very friendly and gave us a good background knowledge about Kiev as well as useful recommendations for restaurants and Cafés. However, sometimes we would have liked to get more historic details.

I have done a lot of tours in european cities and that one was for sure one of the best. Eugene is a very friendly guide and knows a lot about history, politics and Kyiv in general. My travel mate and I have now a much better understanding of Ukraine throughout history and modern times. Eugene is very professional, even showing multimedia content during the tour.

“Great first day tour ”

We did a tour the same day as we arrived. We got there a little too late but fortunately the organization immediately replied that it would be no problem. Our guide Amalia told us so much about (Ancient) Kiev and the following days we could implement all this information in other things we saw in the city. Definitely recommend this tour!

“Ok for not demanding tourists ”

The guide is beginner and is fine for such level. Overall it was cosy and nice. Not a lot of information about city, but guide is always will try to answer to questions. Guide is really responsive and was waiting us due to our delay.

we were not big grope so it's very flexible where you go and what you're interested about.... he is very relaxed and explained detail. we have enjoyed the time and we were so happy to discover from a local way. i highly recommend his walking tour more than any other famous o ne if you want to know well about kiev! i promise it's worthed!

“Super friendly guide”

Our tour was an interesting one, Eugene was willing to show us a lot and he offered to help us even further from the tour's scope. His English was sufficient enough and he was interested in many languages, asking questions. He even volunteered to help us with our visits that we had in mind after the tour, which proved to be a valuable help eventually. The only suggestion I would add is to have more details on our tour to explain, there were a lot of interesting buildings that we passed by and we didn't have an idea what the building was about. I was expecting more stories, legends, history points in the tour. But for sure it was a nice walk and I 100% enjoyed it!
