Ferhat told us all about different Turkish foods and gave us the opportunity to try what we wanted. There's no obligation to eat anything/everything so it's suitable for vegetarians. Great way to get a better understanding of the foods available in the Kadikoy area on the Asian side, and learn the history of Turkish cuisine. Easy to get back to the European side by ferry afterwards too.

“A lovely quick whip of the East/ Asian side of Istanbul”
A leisurely evening walk through the Eastern side of Istanbul, with information on the legacy eateries, some history and great recommendations depending on your food preferences. The restaurant Saki Kadiköy served the best lamb shish of my whole trip. If I had more Turkish Lira in my possession I would have tipped way more!

“Very cool, artsy, streetfood and culture toor”
Very nice tour with our lovely guide. We learned a lot a about turkish culture and about the artsy scene in Kadiköy. It was more focussed on streetfood, pop culture, and turkish life style than on dry history facts. So especially when you want to taste a lot and get to know the hippster places this tour is perfect for you!

“A great tour for some insight into Turkish culture ”
Ferhat was a great guide who provided fabulous insights into the Turkish culture and food. He took us to Kadakoy and Moda - 2 very interesting neighbourhoods with a vibrant bar and social and foodie scene! Very different from the old city area with a varying array of restaurants. Highly recommend this tour!
