Things to do Quintessential Istanbul tour with Bosphorus Cruise

At the indicated time and place, we will pick you up to start a day dedicated entirely to the architectural and historical jewels of Istanbul and brought to life by the commentary of your official English-speaking guide.

Your tour begins at the Dolmabahce Palace, which is located on the coast of the Bosphorus and which was known to be the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire for more than three decades. This incredible palace commissioned by the 31st Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Abdülmecid I, took 30 years to build. It cost the modest sum of 35 tons of gold, which also contributed to the Empire declaring itself insolvent years later. It housed six sultans until the abolition of the caliphate in 1924 by Ataturk, considered the father and founder of the republic. This majestic eclectic palace will delight you with its Barroc, Rococo, and Neo Classical touches lavishly distributed in its more than 45,000 square meters, 285 rooms and 6 Turkish baths.

Next you will travel from Europe to Asia to enjoy the views that the Camlica hill offers, an unparalleled panoramic view of the Bosporus and the European side. You will have free time to enjoy the landscape or stroll through its beautiful parks, and then return to the European part. You will then comfortably continue to the port, together with your guide, in a bus. During the short journey, your guide will answer your questions and give you an insight into the various natural and man-made features of the city, such as the city walls. The ramparts began to be built in the 4th century by the Byzantine emperor Theodosius and stretch almost seven kilometers.
