Day Cruise to the Princess Island start early in the morning, your tour coordinator will pick you up in a luxury air-conditioned bus to escort you to the port. From there, you will set sail for the island of Heybeliada or Halki in Greek, the second largest of the archipelago of the Prince Islands. During the cruise, the guide will provide you with more information about the islands.
In Heybeliada, you will have the opportunity to explore the island in a horse-drawn carriage and see the most emblematic buildings, including the Naval Cadet School or the Byzantine church of Kamariotissa.
Back on the boat, you will comfortably enjoy the views of the Sea of Marmara and Istanbul for about half an hour, on the way to Buyukada or Prinkipos, the largest of the islands in the archipelago.
At the port of Buyukada you will enjoy a delicious Turkish lunch and have free time to visit the island, take a bath or shop for local products.
There are several historical buildings in Buyukada, such as the 6th century Hagia Yorgi Church and Monastery, the Hagios Dimitrios Church and the Hamidiye Mosque, built by Abdul Hamid II. For the first half of the 20th century, the island was popular among prosperous Turks, Greeks, Jews and Armenians.
The journey back to the port of Istanbul takes about an hour. Upon arrival you will be transferred back to your hotel or the closest drop off point and the excursion will come to an end.
