Things to do Explore Hue’s Imperial City with Hue’s Young Storytellers
Walk through Hue’s Imperial City with the city’s next generation of guides. This 2.5-hour tour is led exclusively by local university students — fluent in English, steeped in Hue’s history, and eager to share their heritage.
More than just facts, this is a personal journey. You’ll feel the energy of young voices entwined with centuries of royal legacy. We begin at the Nine Holy Cannons, stand where emperors once gazed, and pass through the gates guarding the heart of the Citadel. At the Five-Phoenix Pavilion, enjoy sweeping views that once belonged only to royalty. In the Hall of Supreme Harmony, learn about grand court ceremonies. The To Mieu Temple Complex and Nine Dynastic Urns tell the stories of the 13 Nguyen emperors.
You’ll also hear tales beyond guidebooks — melodies in the Royal Theater, ambition and heartbreak in Kien Trung Palace, secrets in Ha Co Garden, and more. We wrap up at Hien Nhon Gate, or, if you prefer, walk you down to the Perfume River and close the tour with a quiet reflection by the water.

“Hue Tour”
We had a great tour with Myo, we covered both the citadel and Tu Duc's tomb. We found it really interesting and insightful. The pace of the tour was good, allowing for time to pause at interesting spots and look around and ask questions. Would reccomend to anyone visiting Hue.
