Free Tour to Change How You See the World

Our tour focuses on changing your perspective!! In this tour, we explore themes related to peace and war together, using various historical facts as a starting point for discussion and reflection. Our goal is to help you rethink and reshape your own ideas by looking at different facts and viewpoints. We do not talk only about Hiroshima. We also connect the discussion to war in general and to other aspects of Japanese history and society. This is not a tour that simply says, “Nuclear weapons should be abolished.” Example Themes • What is true peace? • Is nationalism a good thing? • Do nuclear weapons actually contribute to peace? Example Narratives • Why Hiroshima? • Were Japanese people only victims, or were they also perpetrators? There are many other themes and stories, but we invite you to discover them by joining the tour. We will walk through Peace Memorial Park while thinking together. We also plan to include free time, during which you can: • Listen to explanations about specific monuments • Take photos freely • Spend time reflecting on your own This flexibility is one of the strengths of our tour.
