Guatapé: Pablo Escobar's Hacienda & Boat Ride

Discover one of Guatapé's most distinctive experiences by combining a scenic boat ride across the reservoir with a guided visit to Pablo Escobar's former hacienda. We will begin by crossing Guatapé Reservoir, enjoying its landscapes and learning about some of the places connected to the history of the region. Along the way, you can see the surroundings of the reservoir and the cross marking the location where the former town of El Peñol was submerged. We will then continue to the former Hacienda La Manuela, a property associated with Pablo Escobar and one of the places most closely connected to his legacy in Guatapé. Once there, we will explore the property and discover its ruins, main house, and the old bunkers that still remain standing. During the visit, we will learn about the history of the hacienda, its importance in the region, and some of the events that shaped its past. Beyond its history, the hacienda offers a unique setting surrounded by nature. You will have time to enjoy the views, take photographs, and admire the reservoir from different points around the property.
