Things to do Discover the Charm of Graz Old Town
Experience Graz on a city walk that combines history and modernity! From the main square, we head to the quiet Franziskanerplatz, then from the Murbrücke bridge, you have an impressive view of the modern Kunsthaus and the futuristic Murinsel - symbols of creative and contemporary Graz.
In Sporgasse, we marvel at the artistic facades and the House of the Teutonic Knights. In Hofgasse, we visit the oldest bakery in the city - a real insider tip.
We continue to the so-called Stadtkrone with the former castle. There, we discover an architectural masterpiece: the Gothic double spiral staircase - two flights of stairs running in opposite directions, artfully winding around each other and meeting at each landing.
We then visit the imposing mausoleum of Emperor Ferdinand II, the largest ever built for a Habsburg. Just opposite is the Jesuit University with its peaceful inner courtyard - and a snowman that stands there all year round.
Finally, we head to Glockenspielplatz, one of the most atmospheric places in Graz - the perfect end to our tour.
