Things to do Fort-de-France Highlights: Self-Guided Exploration Game

This is a self-guided exploration game crafted by a passionate local storyteller and played outdoors, in one of the Caribbean's most layered cities: Fort-de-France. You will explore 11 iconic locations while learning historical facts and solving real-world puzzles by searching for clues on various elements such as monuments, graffiti, and facades. The game is mainly focused around city center and will take you through a colonial waterfront, a library shipped from Paris, a market blazing with spices and colour, and streets painted by contemporary artists. Starting from the Malecon, the stops are spaced an average of around 200m apart, with each location taking around 7 min to complete. At every stop, you'll solve a puzzle and unlock a new chapter. The game is best in the morning or late afternoon when the light is golden and the heat is kind. Bring water, light clothes, and let Fort-de-France embrace you. DISCLAIMER: You will explore by yourself using the Questo app on your phone. No physical guide or strangers will be involved. The full route covers approximately 2.3 km and takes around 1.5h to complete. You can play it any day, at any time. Languages available: EN, FR, DE.
