At the scheduled time, we'll meet outside Café Da Praça, at Rua Felipe Schmidt, 14, Centro - Florianópolis. Once we're all together, we'll begin the tour around the historic center, popularly known as Floripa, and we'll learn of the secrets of its most important monuments and buildings through the eyes of a local historian. While we walk, we'll learn about the native indigenous groups and about the first Portuguese settlers who founded the Portuguese village, taking us back to the 17th century. After learning about the founders of 'Desterro', we'll make our way to the Cruz e Sousa Palace, the old headquarters of the State Government, and the November 15th Square. The following stops will be at a Church built by the African community and Álvaro de Carvalho Theatre, one of the most beautiful monuments in the city. We finish the tour with a toast at the Public Market, where you can have a drink or a snack, buy a souvenir, and use the restrooms.
