Mateo was there waiting for his customers.Language was not very clear,aperance could be more presentative if you work with people. The way i liked with Mateo, he was fast not so much deep in each object- few words and we got to see what it is. Time past quickly ,tour took as almost 3 hours. We finish at the lively place Naviglio canal. All went good with one pitstop for the beer. Was good.

“Quirky but very good”

Matteo was very communicative before and during the tour. To be perfectly honest, i wasn’t sure what to expect after the very first impression but what we got was a very informative and comprehensive tour. The obvious places were covered, but so were many little hidden nooks and crannies all over city. He was clearly passionate about the subject matter. He was very engaging and good humoured. The tour group also had a wonderful atmosphere with Matteo keen to introduce everybody to each other - there was a lovely vibe to it. It was a great to spend a couple of hours in Milan. Highly recommended!

“Highly recommend!”

Matteo made our first day in Milan amazing. It was only me and my friend the day of our tour (probably because it was gloomy), yet Matteo didn't cancel our tour but turned it into a fun experience. We learned historical facts about sights and paintings and he didn't just tell us all the information, he included us by asking questions and being open to answering our questions. If you don't understand something you can always ask Matteo and he'll clarify! Our walk felt long yet quick, and we walked over 20K steps by the end of the night, so have comfortable shoes. Matteo also showed us amaaaaazing food and drink places that I don't think we would have ever discovered so ask him about that. We went to almost all the places he recommended and had a wonderful time! Now we are looking forward to coming back to Milan to experience drinking a spritz on the piazza in the summer as Matteo described.

“Milan unique tour”

I reflected for a moment before writing this, and hopefully, the next group of tourists will understand my point of view. 1. The tour is both interesting and extensive. It starts in Piazza del Duomo and ends in Naviglio. However, I didn’t find it difficult to cover, even though the map made it seem like there would be a lot of walking. I think this was because the guide knew when to stop and summarize key information. That said, I do recommend wearing comfortable shoes. There are also attractions that I truly believe you wouldn’t discover on your own, along with helpful explanations. 2. Matteo seems passionate about what he does—kind and well-intentioned. He is a little quirky and I think he could be more mindful of first impressions, as this is a field that involves meeting new people. I didn’t mind that his English wasn’t perfect, since the majority of tourists are non-native speakers, and Matteo was always open to providing further explanations and clarifying any details. In conclusion, I would like to recommend and encourage people to choose this tour and enjoy more obscure facts that will enrich their vacation in Milan.

“Great Info, Poorly Delivered”

This walking tour in Milan covered a lot of ground and provided very interesting and helpful information about the city. However, the guide's English was not very strong, and their explanations were sometimes unclear, which made it hard to fully enjoy the experience. While the information itself was fascinating, the delivery left much to be desired. Be prepared for a lot of walking as you explore various parts of Milan. Overall, it was a good tour, but the guide's communication skills really impacted the experience.

We spent 3,5 hours with Matteo, walking around the city. We stopped by some unusual places in Milan, which is definite a pro. He also gave some useful advices about places where to eat and have drinks without incurring in tourist traps. A couple of cons: some improvement in the the pronunciation of English language would be useful. I was also expecting some more explanations during the tour; Matteo gave really brief descriptions on each spot sticking to very few information. I would suggest this tour only to people who have some previous knowledge of both the city and the local/national history.

Guide does need to focus on speaking slowly so others can understand, however whenever I asked him to clarify he did it well. Best part was walking with a drink like a friend from Milan. Wir fanden die Tour, die Matteo uns gezeigt hat gut! Es waren tatsächlich gute Spots dabei, die vielleicht nicht jeder kennt. Unsere Gruppe war ziemlich klein, was uns gut gefallen hat. Es gab auch viele Bar- und Restaurantempfehlungen von Matteo, von denen wir einige ausprobiert haben und die uns tatsächlich begeistert haben. Die Tour selbst ist ziemlich lang und wir waren von 14 bis 18 Uhr unterwegs. Das sollte man wissen, bevor man die Tour bucht. Matteo selbst ist ein spezieller Typ, der sich aber große Mühe gibt, dass man eine tolle Erfahrung hat. Am Vorabend bestätigt er die Tour nochmal und schickt auch ein aktuelles Foto von sich, denn auf den Bildern zur Tour kann man ihn tatsächlich nicht wiedererkennen. Alles in allem war die Tour zwar recht lang, aber die Orte, die Matteo uns gezeigt hat, lagen abseits der Touristenmassen und waren wirklich sehenswert!

The city tour with Matteo had some interesting approaches, but unfortunately I cannot fully recommend it. Matteo tried very hard to lead the group to the various stations, although the pace seemed a bit hectic at times. His English was not always easy to understand, making it difficult to follow him. He also frequently asked questions about topics he had already explained, which disrupted the flow of the tour. A stop at a bar wasn't necessary for many in the group, and the offer of another drink was unanimously declined. Despite these points, I don't regret taking part because I was able to gain some new impressions. However, if I were to visit again I would use a different guide.

“More walking than touring”

This walking tour was definitely more walking than touring. Matteo’s English was very hard to understand, plus he didn’t wear a microphone even with 14 people in the group, so hearing explanations was difficult. Since he wasn’t a licensed tour guide we were not able to visit many places. We walked for about three miles without stopping so if walking is hard for you, this would not be a great tour. I really wouldn’t go back to any of the places we visited. By the end of the tour, everyone in the group was beyond ready for it to end.

Matteo is a great guide and I spent an nice afternoon discovering Milan with our group. I did many free tours before in many different countries and I was never disappointed. But with Matteo, beside being a nice guy, the quality of his tour was inferior and couldn’t be recommended. His English is poor and the information given about in general interesting places was only a little what eventually led to the case of not knowing more about Milano afterwards. A few people left earlier and everyone in the group shared my impression. So no recommendation from my side!

“Can't recommend Matteo for an English tour ”

Having joined walking tours all over Europe, I normally highly recommend doing them. They help you get your bearings, are full of useful facts, history and are enjoyable. I just can't recommend doing them with Matteo. We didn't have a clue what he was saying half the time. We paid and left only halfway into the tour. Our group was a lovely bunch and we tried to help each other work out what he was saying, but it felt disjointed one minute he was taking us one way the next he changed his mind and he would go another. We decided not to continue which is a first as all our other walking tours have been invaluable to our trips. If a guide is doing this most days you would think they would be more organised. We did see a couple of places that we might have missed on our own. sure Matteo is a nice guy but he was not a good English guide he should maybe stick with Italian. Milan is beautiful just pick another guide to do it with. Note we were not the only ones to drop out he lost two people before we left the starting point.

“A Mixed Experience Due to Weather and Route”

The walking tour in Milan with Matteo was a decent experience overall, but it was impacted by the weather and the chosen itinerary. Unfortunately, it rained for about 80% of the 2.5-hour tour, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the sights. Matteo was a competent guide, but I felt that the selection of places could have been more unique. While visiting landmarks like the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is essential, it would have been great to explore some less touristy spots as well. With only 7 people in the group, it was an intimate setting, which was a positive aspect of the tour.

However, the guide’s English was a bit hard to understand at times, and he chided at us whenever we tried to have a conversation not related to the tour. Additionally, some of the stops lack thorough explanations (although you can read the Wikipedia page on the place and get the same info, but getting an explanation on-site would still be nice). Overall, a great experience if you want to get to know the city and its “underground” locations, but make sure your English is good enough to understand the gaps in the guide’s vocabulary.

“International group .. and a very hot day ”

Thanks matteo for perfect organization, und directing me on the group at 2pm. At the beginning , I thought , nothing new .. and touristically.. but then , it‘s getting better and more interesting. I loved to see these beautiful churches , and mostly the Navigli district with tasty Sicilian food , as well as the most cheapest Spritz in Milano . 7 people from 6 nations .. I enjoyed .. obthough sometimes I didn’t understand the Italian English .. thanks matteo for this interesting day

Milan is a gorgeus city, and true to the description, Matteo showed us the real hidden games of it, but his speech was a bit incomprehensible, too fast and due to his strong accent, hard to understand. At the end of the tour we felt like we learned little about the cultural heritage of Milan, which we would have really liked. Like one of the previous commenters said, the tour was a bit too focused on cheap beer and affordable bars.

“Milan tour”

It is a 3,5 hour tour, we ended up taking around 4,5 hours. The guide Matteo is a friendly and helpful guy, only his accent sometimes makes it hard to understand and he tends to speed through everything. The positive side of that is I believe I’ve seen as much of Milan as possible within the amount of time!

el tour es muy curioso, del tipo que me gusta porque no es el que conseguirás en un hop on hop off, está muy bien trabajado, muestra un lado único que puede llegar a ser encantador. “Good tour of Milan”

I appreciated stopping by so many beautiful sights and walking through lots of different neighborhoods. It was also good that we stopped for some refreshments at different points as the 3.5 hour-tour is quite long. Some of the content was a bit too focused on where to find cheap drinks and where to go smoke weed. I think this may have missed the mark with the specific group participants on this tour. Generally, the tour was enjoyable and informative.

“It's interesting with Matteo!”

Matteo is a "thing in itself". Spontaneous, bursting with freedom, friendly and ready for long walks!) There is a lot of information about the city and its important places, I would only wish for more mysticism, legends and stories about cats) But it is very intense and three and a half hours of walking is inspiring! He also just took us to places that weren't free!
