Join me as I unveil Brno through the eyes of an architecture student. I have crafted a unique tour that explores the city center and showcases its breathtaking architecture. We'll mainly focus on the 19th-century Functionalist style, with a few charming nods to the past and delightful parks along the way.
Our tour forms a circle around the old city center, starting and ending at Česká, right in front of the St. Thomas Church. We'll wander through narrow streets and hidden passages and maybe even catch a glimpse inside some famous structures.

“Modern Architecture in Brno”
Excellent tour. It covered some of the older buildings we passed, but it's focus was the many buildings in the modern international style by Bohuslav Fuchs created in the 1920s and 30s in Brno. I had never looked at these unassuming building styles before but found them very interesting with their sleek lines and functionality like the way the windows opened and that hidden columns strengthened them enough to allow arcades to pass through them. Jonas was a really nice chap and talked knowledgeably on his subject but was quite approachable and open to discussion. The tour was a gentle ramble through Brno at an enjoyable pace. I highly recommend it.

“Unique and customized!”
The tour was so much more than we would have been able to find on our own! It’s quite an effective way to hit all the architectural hot spots in the least amount of time. Our group was a bit slow but the tour guide made sure everyone stayed together and answered all tedious questions!
