After picking you up from your hotel at 6:30 a.m., we will start the Country Tour from Bogota. We will visit the lands of Boyaca and Cundinamarca, epicenter of the ancient pre-Hispanic cultures of the Muiscas or Chibchas, it is believed that they inhabited the area 12,000 years ago.
We will enjoy Villa de Leyva, an old town located on the outskirts of Bogota. It was declared a Cultural Heritage of Colombia in 1954. Its Main Square stands out, since it is the largest in Colombia: 14,000 square meters! On this site are some of the most important monuments of the town, such as the church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
After a walk through the paths that surround Villa de Leyva, we will arrive at El Infiernito, also known as the Muisca astronomical observatory, where we will learn about the advances of this pre-Hispanic people and their phallic sculptures.
