An entertaining and informative encounter with our English-speaking guide in the city of Bordeaux to cover the main sites and streets of the old town and this World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Things to do Bordeaux Highlights Free Walking Tour
Our tour starts at the Statue of Jacques Chaban-Delmas where you will spot our guide with a red umbrella. View the beautiful Hôtel de Ville, where you will be amazed with the stunning sights of the Cathedral Saint Andre and Tower Pey Berland. From here you will walk through the old town streets of Bordeaux, stopping off at Place Saint Projet to learn the history of the square and famous Rue Saint Catherine. The tour continues through the intriguing Place Camille Jullian then to the must-see Porte Cailhau. Porte Cailhau holds a rich history which you will learn from your guide and dates back to the Middle Ages as a gateway into the city. You will then continue towards Place de la Bourse, passing though the famous Saint Pierre district where the city’s first port once was. Learn about Bordeaux’s secret slave trade in Place de la Bourse and get a picture by the famous Miroir D’Eau. * ** IMPORTANT *** We are unable to accept reservations of groups larger than 6 adults without prior notice. This includes multiple bookings under another name. There is a group fee of €10 per adult that should be prepaid before the tour starts. Admission on tour can be refused if refusal to accept.

MArk ci ha fatto fare un giro dei punti di interesse principali dandoci le dovute spiegazioni ma in più è riuscito a trasmetterci il "genius loci" cioè lo spirito della città, soprattutto quello degli ultimi tempi, raccontandoci una città che si è ripulita dal traffico cittadino dotandosi di adeguati mezzi di trasporto e di una cura per tutto il centro storico.
