“Excellent Tour”
Our tour guide, Samir, was brilliant. He was able to pass on so much information about Albania and his home city of Berat. He is very proud to come from Berat and knew a lot about its history from ancient times to the present and answered all of our questions. When we visited Berat castle we were taken to parts of the castle not normally available to the public and other areas which we would not have discovered without Samir.
I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Berat. To fully appreciate the city and its history you need the guidance of an expert such as Samir. Thanks

“Tour in Berat”
I booked the tour in November at 4pm, so its not really a peak season. I was shocked because the participant was only me alone but the guide kindly asked me if i still wanna carry on and i thought ‘why not’. so it ended up like a private walking tour..The guide is really informative as his background is history..he is local and know lots about this city. He answered all the questions i had.overall, i will recommend this tour to everybody visiting Berat..Thank you!!!

Great tour to learn a lot about the city. We went into the castle as part of the tour and that was great to have a guide who knows about the castle and could show around too (as it is bigger than you think!!) definitely recommend doing in Berat

Guide sympathique et qui maîtrisait son sujet. Ouvert à répondre à des questions complémentaires. Le tour en fin de journée était très agréable et a rendu la montée au château plus simple vis à vis de la chaleur et la vue sur la ville au couché du soleil très jolie!
Nous recommandons sans hésiter cette jolie balade instructive (allant bien au delà des livres de voyage)

“Fantastic tour despite the rain”
One of the best tours we’ve ever had! Despite being just off season, we still saw everything just without the crowds. We were very lucky in that we were the only people on the tour today and Saimir really looked after us! He took the time to explain everything in detail, patiently answered so many of our questions and had a genuine passion for Berat that is infectious. Despite the torrential rain today, this didn’t deter any of us. We were also lucky enough to be shown two of the churches with their beautiful frescoes inside the castle. Do not miss this tour!

We had a 10/10 tour with the best tour guide ever - Saimir! We were a small group of 3 people, so there was room for alot of questions which he could answer with alot of aplomb and wit. The tour was very interesting and next to information about present religion, the city Berat and Albania in general, we also got to know each other. It was alot of fun and just a very nice vibe. So, if you are actually interested in learning something about the city and Albanian culture, I'd really recommend the tour with Saimir!

“No introduction and little information ”
Despite the heat at that das the guide tried to give us a tour with some cold water shower. But he missed to give us an introduction and his informations where kind of shallow and indefinite. When I told him that I can't continue the steep street up to the castle (during heat and pregnancy) and that I'll wait for the group, he did not tell me that they won't came back anytime soon and that the tour will last in fact most of the time uphill. Although he didn't show too much understanding..

I can really recommend the free walking tour with Saimir (guide). He tells you so many interesting things about the different sights you are going to visit during that walk and also about tradions, the people itself and you actually can ask him everything.
For me, these kind of tours are the best to get to know a city or even a country and their culture.

Thank you Olsi for being such a great guide! We learned so much about Berat, Albania and it's culture. He was also very patient as we brought our two-year od boy with us who didn't want to sit in the backpack and waited till we came up. The tour was challenging but very interesting. I guess the late tour at 5 p.m. is easier because the heat is decreasing.
Do not miss this tour once your are in Berat!

I done the walking tour of Berat with Saimir who was a excellent tour guide
Saimir explained the history of Berat as we walked up to and around Berat castle ( which is a excellent castle ) the castle still has families living there , and Saimir explained why the families still lived there , and why there are derelict homes , and also explained and pointed out the 20+ churches on the grounds of the castle , and most importantly the history of the castle
We finished the tour down by the river which runs through Berat
Luckily I was the only person one this tour , so it was more like a private tour
I would recommend doing this walking tour if you are in wonderful Berat , and hope Saimir is your guide
He is very knowledgeable and friendly. And has been a tour guide for a long time ( one of the best tour guides I have had during my travels)
