Hiking Armenia: Chorros de San Rafael Calarcá, Quindío

Our meeting point will be the main square of Calarcá, just 20 minutes from Armenia. From there we will begin our hike to a rural area, crossing trails surrounded by coffee plantations, guaduals and tropical rainforest, home to a rich biodiversity of birds, butterflies and native plants. During the tour, we will border the crystalline waters of the Santo Domingo River and enjoy natural viewpoints with panoramic views of the mountains of Quindio. The highlight will be reaching the Chorros de San Rafael, a majestic 70-meter waterfall where you can relax, capture unforgettable photographs and connect with the tranquility of the environment. Throughout the tour you will learn about the ecological importance of the area and local traditions, while sharing anecdotes and admiring the scenery. This tour, of basic to intermediate difficulty, lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours. Bring comfortable clothes, appropriate footwear, water and a lot of desire to enjoy this adventure in nature.
