“Undiscovered Vilnius tour”
This tour is worth doing as some of the areas we visited are likely to change in future. I marked down the organisation and the guide as it wasn't clear we didn't finish the tour where it started so I missed my next tour as couldn't get tgere in time. The guide had the bad habit of turning away whilst talking when he was pointing or describing a building. This made it difficult to hear him at times. Always face your audience please.

This was the second time that I joined a guided tour using freetour.com (the previous time in Riga) and again I was very pleased with the guide and the content of the tour. I was taken to parts of Vilnius that I would probably have otherwise missed during my very short stay in the city. There were 3 people in the group who were visibly annoyed by the references to the Italian influence in Vilnius, but their annoyance towards history was their problem and doesn't reflect badly on the guide. I just wished I didn't have to walk around with them ????

“As a Lithuanian from Kaunas - much recommended ”
Our guide took us on a look through history of Lithuania in Soviet times up until today, highlight of the tour was wooden houses in šnipiškės and all the stories that went along with it. I would recommend the tour even if you are Lithuanian as am I, especially if you're not from Vilnius!

It was a great tour, it highlighted some interesting and also sad parts of Lithuanian history from the Soviet past. The guide, Ugnė showed us the contrasting parts of Vilnius, which was interesting if you are interested in something else then the usual city-centre-main-sightseeings-type of tour.

“Truly was not on my radar”
When i booked the tour I wasn‘t really expecting anything in particular, I just wanted to get a more holistic view of the city.
Ugni (I hope I spelled that right) was a really great guide. She balanced personal stories and historical facts about the city, especially during Soviet times, very well and gave great recommendations. Especially the wooden town behind the skyscrapers was definitely worth a visit! Definitely worth the time!

“Really Interesting Tour of Vilnius' Hidden Gems”
Our guide, Ugne, like her name's meaning was on ???? and really awesome! She was very knowledgeable and gave us an informative tour. Even showed pictures on her notebook and phone to supplement the fun facts she shared about Vilnius. The contrast of the 18th century old wooden houses against the backdrop of skyscrapers in the formerly Soviet part of the city was just mind blowing. Really interesting Tour and would highly recommend! ????

I went two times to see this tour. The Soviet era's influence on Lithuania was highlighted by personal stories. Then the "wooden area" was outstanding in contrasts with mansions and old buildings side by side. What each person had was well taken care of. Beautiful flowers and well groomed lawns.

The "Undiscovered Vilnius" tour is so different in comparison with the classin Old Town etc. excursions! It shows a mind blowing piece of Vilnius that I'd missed over years of visiting the city. Don't make my mistake, join the tour now and see the tounge-in-cheek Vilnius, see where the modern meets the traditional over a lawn, discover where dragon eggs have been hatching... Have fun, I definately did!

“A really interesting tour”
This was a a fascinating tour. The guide was very good. The tour talked a little about old history, but then much more about soviet history and the more recent growth of the city. The area old wooden houses in a garden district was fascinating and I don't think we would ever have found it on our own. The tour was a little long at 2 and a half hours, as it was a very hot day. It would have been more enjoyable at 2 hours long.

“Unespected but very good”
We just booked this tour without actually reading. We expected an old town Tour with historical facts far far away.
But it was completly different. We went to an area without Tourist. It was more about the last 100years. So really tangible. A tour and stories about sowjet area and modern skyscraper.
We still want to do the old town Tour, but if you want to see the more „real“ Vilnius, this tour is highly recommnended.

Very good tour to discover a lesser known part of Vilnius and the way it changed over the years. There is a bit of walking to do but it is necessary and you will not be disappointed by what you will discover. The guide was friendly, witty and informative, and she told us a lot of personal stories of her grandparents' during the Soviet times.

It was like travelling back during the Soviet occupation of Vilnius. We visited the wooden village and saw the big contrast with skyscrapers surrounding it. This tour was the kind of tour you didn’t know you needed???? Truly recommended!

Alles al gezien in de Oude Stad van Vilnius dan is deze tour een mooie aanvulling. We werden door leuke gids meegenomen naar een gedeelte van deze Litouwse stad waar zelfs de lokale bevolking zelden komt. Het contrast tussen de wolkenkrabbers en houten woningen stond niet in mijn reisgids en werd met de toelichting van de rondleider helder.

It was a really interesting tour off the beaten track in Vilnius. Our guide had a really lively and passionate way of talking about the city.
It was rather accessible - there were nearly no steps (minus point: those could have been easily replaced by an alternative way which wasn't longer and would have simply meant: same route without steps).

DNF. We thought we could have met already at the first point in which the tour has started. We actually did not finish as we were not intrigued by the information that we have received by the guide. Our guide was friendly and tried to make some jokes to entertain the crowd, but unfortunately we found it boring.
Would like to have a shortened tour and something a bit more historical or about the architecture. Maybe something about the dark side of Lithuania would be also interesting.
