Quiero recomendar a Felipe, que a pesar que solo eramos dos personas en el tour, tuvo la delicadeza de hacerlo y de igual manera estuvo atento a nuestras necesidades y consultas. El tour fue ameno y bastante informativo, caminando por los principales cerros y con la explicación de los lugares, detalles de la ciudad y diferentes grafitis y murales artísticos de la ciudad. He ido a otros tour por Valparaíso y con Felipe aprendimos detalles nuevos, agradezco su amabilidad y lo recomiendo para todos los que deseen conocer Valparaiso de una persona confiable.

“Entertaining Fun and interesting ”
Our guide was Maria Jose’ she was very informative and enthusiastic, in our tour we covered some history of the town and the people back to the original tribes, María took us down many of the intricate stair cases and passages we would never have found by ourselves, she also showed us many of the major important pieces of street art and finally a couple of restaurant recommendations. “Best walking tour experience with Maria”
We took the essential walking tour of Valparaíso. Our tour guide, Maria José, was absolutely fantastic! She has a lot of insights and knowledge about the history of the city and also about the graffiti!
We started at Plaza Sotomayor and explored Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción, climbing up the piano stairs, riding funiculars, and discovering incredible street art along the way. The tour ended just a few blocks away from the square, giving us a well-rounded experience of the city’s best spots and rich history.
If you are coming for a day trip to Valparaíso, we highly recommend taking a tour with Maria—you’ll see the most iconic places while gaining a deeper appreciation for this beautiful city!

“nobody showed up”
After the first tour in Viña del Mar was canceled by the other organizer due to illness, I was really looking forward to the second tour in Valparaiso.
I was at the agreed meeting point (Héroes de Iquique Monument / Sotomayor Square) 15 minutes before. I waited 20 minutes. Nobody showed up. So I explored the city on my own.
A black t-shirt should be worn for identification. really people? It was too cold to wear just a t-shirt. Other organizers wear caps/umbrellas in distinctive colors. I would book with another provider next time.

Very good tour with Maria. She was very knowledgeable about the area and it’s history. Only thing I would recommend is to spend less time in the first stop. The tour was a bit long and we found the area at the top of the hill to be much more exciting. Overall a great experience!

Tomamos el tour en español con Felipe, un guía excepcional, tranquilo, ameno, claro y con muchos aportes históricos, sin dejar atrás los mitos sobre la misteriosa Themis de la Corte de Apelaciones.
Siempre dispuesto a sacarnos fotos, y como estábamos en un tour personalizado al ser solo nosotras dos en el tour, disfrutamos de una parada técnica tomando un rico cafecito.

“Very good tour”
We joined Maria Jose for a walk through parts of the harbour, Cerro Conception and Cerro Alegre.
We had a very nice afternoon and Maria Jose told us a lot about the history of Chile and Valparaíso. We saw many nice wall paintings and heard about the different artists. We also had a discussion about the current political situation in Chile.

Maria Jose and Filipe were the perfect guides. Especially when you are interested in details and don't only want to know the general stuff I can highly recommend them. They have very detailed knowledge about the city, it's history and the culture. As our group was very small (just 4 people) they could care very good about us and our questions. Even the fare for the elevators was included. :)
