Hello! I am Ivan, a licensed tour guide with a master's degree in history and art history. My tour reveals parts of the historic city that you might otherwise miss if exploring in a tour vehicle. On this tour, you will visit the ancient, medieval, and modern history of Split. “Well organised and informative tour”
Ivan really managed to pack a lot in to the 90 minutes. A really informative and interesting tour.
The tour starting at 09:00 meant we saw the palace when it was quieter, the place was really busy when we walked back through at 10:00.

Ivan gave us a great tour of the city and shared a lot of great history of Split. It was great that it stated earlier than usual, and that it started from the quieter gate. He pointed out small things that we would never have seen on our own. Recommended.

“Split walking tour”
The tour put the history of the Diocletian Palace in context, plus included information about the recent history of Split and Croatia. The guide found locations away from the larger crowds for parts of the tour - so he didn't have to shout to be heard. A nice way to start my visit to Split.

We did the historical tour with Ivan which was really interesting, packed with content yet still well-paced and plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Ivan is clearly very knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about Split and about history. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and will recommend it to anyone who is curious to learn more. Ivan explained the complex history of Croatia and Split in a clear summarized way while walking and showing how it is reflected in the Split downtown buildings in around two hours. Recommended!

“Amazing ”
Excellent organisation, easy to find Ivan, he was so knowledgeable and easy to understand. We had a great walking tour with him. Loved the fact that we were a small group, so didn't have to wear ear pieces as we could all stand close to listen. Without Ivan we would have wandered aimlessly around. Definitely recommend him for your tours.

“Visite historique de Split”
Le tour historique avec Ivan a été intéressant et nous a permis de découvrir les principaux points d’intérêt de Split.
Son expertise en tant que professeur d’histoire était appréciée, notamment avec l’apport de supports pour illustrer les grandes périodes historiques de cette cité.
Toutefois, le rythme de la visite était soutenu et ne laissait que peu de place aux questions. Nous avons eu l’impression qu’un timing devait être suivi, rendant la visite très « empressée ». Dommage… Nous conseillons de revoir la configuration du tour (éventuellement avec une réévaluation de la durée du tour (augmenter le temps global).

“Awesome Tour”
