Jelena met us promptly and we were lucky enough to have a private tour of Diocletians palace on a beautiful day in Split. She was very friendly, funny, informative and gave us an amazing overview of the incredible history of the city. Questions were welcomed at all times so we felt super comfortable with asking anything and she also gave us some great recommendations on other activities, places to eat etc! “Wonderful History”
Jelena provided an excellent tour! No audio devices are used. We met at the golden gate (which was never golden) and she took the time to understand our interests. The tour had three people total. I took the tour in the winter season, so this was a small tour size. We walked around the palace and Jelena explained the architecture of the outside walls and the history that caused each change.
We proceeded along the ancient streets, leading to the iron gate. The tour went inside the gates, looked at all the points of interest. We left the palace through the bronze gate. Jelena then used the 3D maps (both current and ancient) to explain everything that we saw. She left us with lunch recommendations.
Jelena was absolutely wonderful, could not recommend more!!

“Fun and informative ”
We joined the free tour with Jelena. She was very knowledgeable and clear with her explanations, with lots of fun facts along the way. She commenced with an overview to provide the history behind what we were about to see. We moved around the old town stopping at various points of interest. She spoke quickly and didn’t waste time - it was perfectly paced. We finished the tour after about 1.5 hours at a scale model of the town where Jelena showed us where we had been recapped the main points. A very professional guide. I would highly recommend.

Jelena is a very nice and open minded person, she observes the group and adjusts the tour. So if you’re very interested you’ll get more information and if you just like to see the most popular buildings with basic information that is fine too!
We were a very small group so ist was very familiar and we get to talk about the history but also recommendations for restaurants and activities!
I would revommend this tour to everyone that likes to be guided through the city of split and wants to know about the history and the buildings!

Jelena is a great tour guide. She brought the history of her home city and the palace to life for everyone, with fun anecdotes as well as historical facts.
She was also super considerate of the needs of the group members and keeping everyone comfortable in the heat - always finding shade for us to stop in.
Really recommend a tour with her - and pls be generous with your ‘tips’ . A pre-booked tour would be 40 euros + each and everyone I saw who was on one looked bored out of their minds!!!

In a crowded area, not speaking English perfectly, it‘s always Important for me that the Guide has a good pronunciation and speaks calm and loud. Jelena was great: it was easy to follow although the historical context is kind of komplex sometimes. She also told us about the present split, was funny, well informed and aware of our happiness. We liked the tour very much and definitely would recommend to join Jelena for exploring the city!
