Every Wednesday during June 2–19, 2025 and August 18–September 25, 2025, join a licensed tourist guide. Sveti Petar u Šumi is renowned for its impressive Benedictine monastery and the Church of St. Peter, one of the most important sacred buildings in Istria. Founded in the 12th century, the monastery reflects a rich history and architecture that includes Gothic and Baroque elements. Visitors can admire beautifully preserved frescoes, an old library, and the cloister with its characteristic arches that create a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. Through the guide’s storytelling, the monastery’s historical role as a religious and cultural center of the region comes to life. Tinjan is a historic hilltop town known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and distinctive stone houses.
