Things to do Taiwanese Tea Ceremony Workshop & Tea Tasting Experience with Qipao

Step into living history at Xin Fang Chun Tea House, a beautifully restored 1934 tea mansion in Taipei's historic Dadaocheng district, once the city's largest tea factory. Learn the traditional Taiwanese tea ceremony through a hands-on tasting where you brew, compare, and discover how to recognize Taiwan's most famous teas. The tea master begins by demonstrating the proper brewing method, including water temperature, leaf quantity, steeping time, and pouring order. Then it's your turn. Guided by your English-speaking guide, you'll brew your own tea while learning tea etiquette, including how tea is served and received. Taste four classic Taiwanese teas side by side: Wenshan Baozhong, Alishan Oolong, Tieguanyin, and Oriental Beauty. Learn where each is grown, how oxidation shapes flavor, and what to look for in aroma, body, and finish, paired with traditional tea sweets. Test your palate in a fun tea guessing game, then explore the restored mansion, tea factory floor, and courtyard. You can also rent a traditional qipao or Zhongshan suit for memorable photos (optional, subject to availability). The experience concludes back at Xin Fang Chun Tea House.
