Hello! I'm Basilio, the Spanish teacher who tries to keep his students from sleeping in class and, surprisingly, I still have my sanity. My brother, Erick, is the guide who's managed to survive five years of curious tourists and perplexing questions. There is Jalloh, the unofficial mayor of Strasbourg! He's so passionate about the past that he might start narrating the history of a lamppost if you stand still long enough. Showing people around this stunning city is my jam, and I've got stories that'll make even the statues laugh. In this multicultural hub, I fit in like a quirky puzzle piece. Think of me as Mr. Strasbourg – friendly, a bit chatty, and always ready for a good walk & talk. So, let's swap tales and tread the streets of history together! Together, we are on a mission to show visitors the best of Strasbourg, as long as they don't mistake us for living statues along the way. We are passionate about history and culture, and we still haven't discovered who the real culprit is that socks always get lost in the washing machine! We've been living here for more than 13 years. Because, honestly, life is already serious enough, we better add a touch of humor to knowledge!

“Excellent guide”
There were 6 in our group, a lovely size for us, and we all met at the statue at Place Kléber as requested.
Erik met us here and then gave us a history of the statue and square. We moved onto the cathedrale and the Rohan palace. Fantastic history, delivery was spot on, so informative.
We moved on to Gutenberg Square, with more information here. St Thomas church and then the Petite France area. We finished on the rooftop of the soldiers hospital.
Erik was charming, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. It was a terrific tour and 2 hours very well spent. Thank you.

“Tour guide didn’t show up”
We arrived on time at the specified location and the tour guide did not turn up. We messaged twice on the app and didn’t get a reply. We were quite disappointed as we got up and travelled to the centre of Strasbourg specifically for this tour. It would’ve been nice to receive some notice on a cancellation of the tour. Next time please tell us if the tour is going to be cancelled.

Possible improvement: chronological order. There were lots of dates and stories, but they didn't follow any chronological order so it was hard to keep up sometimes

“Very complete and direct tour!”
This walking tour was absolutely fantastic! The guide was super engaging, responsive to all our questions, and kept the explanations focused and meaningful. He shared fascinating insights about the city, the historical importance of the Christmas market, and tied everything together beautifully by the end. Despite the crowd, he managed to keep the group organized, was punctual, and gave excellent recommendations for local dishes and where to eat. His kindness and professionalism really stood out.
As someone who lived in Strasbourg as an exchange student for four months, I thought I knew the city well, but this tour completely surprised me. I discovered so many new places and learned things I’d never heard before. Sharing this experience with my two visiting friends and the group made it even more special. I highly recommend this tour—it was a perfect mix of history, culture, and fun!

Die Tour hat uns sehr geholfen, uns direkt in Straßburg zurecht zu finden. Wir bekamen einen guten Überblick und wussten am nächsten Tag genau, welche Ecken wir noch weiter erkunden wollen. Basilio hat eine humorvolle, offene Art und kannte sich sehr gut aus. It was a good introduction to the history of Strasbourg. Eric was our guide, and seemed to really enjoy sharing his knowledge of the town and history. The tour was fully 2 hours. It was an easy walk. Not comprehensive of everything the town has to offer, but enjoyable and interesting. Included some restaurant recommendations which were worthwhile trying!

“Strasbourg walking history tour”
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with our guide! Not only was he incredibly informative, but his sense of humor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our exploration of Strasbourg's rich history. Covering all the significant sites with ease, the tour was both educational and effortlessly paced. Definitely a must-do experience!

“Not impressed”
Usually I really like the free tour concept, however, I'm not impressed by this one. The guide failed to build a narrative of the city through history, instead we just got tidbits of random information tied to the locations we visited. Also our guide was not local born & raised, which is usually a nice touch to these kind of tours - this meant for example he did not speak Alsatian and did not know a lot about the surrounding region either.

“Very nice and funny tour guide”
Gidda knows a lot about the history in Strasbourg, so I learned many interesting facts about the city. He also has a sense of humor which made the tour even better. It was very nice of him to do like a private tour with me because all the other guests weren't coming without letting him know. Had a good time.
