Things to do Happy Petite France Free Tour of Strasbourg

The Happy Petite France Tour will guide you through the historical district of "La Petite France". An old medieval district, developed through the centuries at the water's edge, Petite France is a pedestrian area where you will stroll through cobblestone streets lined with traditional Alsatian, half-timbered houses between two and five centuries old. Also, you will discover the remnants of the old fortifications under Louis XIV, to end with a marvelous view of the exceptional buildings, canals and natural sites of Strasbourg. Meeting point is always in front of the Cathedral, at the corner with rue Mercière. The guide is holding a big ORANGE sign with "HAPPY Free Tour" on it, can't miss him! ;) The Happy Petite France Tour runs everyday from last week of March to first week of January. (no need for reservation, only show up a few minutes in advance) : - English Petite France Tour: Everyday at 11h00 (from March's last week to January's first week) - English Original Tour: Everyday at 14h30 (from March's last week to January's first week: only Saturdays & Sundays)) - French Original Tour: Saturdays and Sundays at 11h00 (all year round)

“Fabulous Tour with Thomas”

We had our Petite France Tour with Thomas. He was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He made plenty of time for our many questions and was very informative. He gave us lots of tips for our time in Strasbourg as well. We would have enjoyed hearing the afternoon tour with him in addition, but were unable to make the timing work. This is a very enjoyable tour and we highly recommend it!

We had our tour with Matthias, and it was a truly entertaining experience. Not only is he very knowledgeable and shared it with us, but also made the tour fun and interactive. It was so good we wanted to get on the afternoon tour as well. Sadly, we had to leave Strasbourg right after lunch.

I booked this tour thinking I‘d just see some pretty sights but the tour guide that day, Leo, did amazingly. I learnt so much about the history of Strasbourg/Petite France that I immediately decided I‘d do the other tour as well in the afternoon. (In my humble opinion, Leo did the Original Tour even better, which I genuinely couldn‘t have imagined beforehand because the Petite France Tour was so great already!) I can only recommend these tours :)

“Energetic Tour Guide even with a few”

Mattias was a great tour guide and didn't act disappointed even though we were only 5 adults and 2 children on the tour. Petite France is amazing everywhere you look and the tour was very interesting and informative. I have done tours in other cities and we have always liked them. Even our 8 year old granddaughter said "That was a nice tour."

This was such a lovely tour. A cloudy morning with drizzle was quickly turned into a fun and interesting tour around the petite French area.
