Things to do Happy Original Free Tour of Strasbourg
The Happy Original Tour will take you to the main places and monuments of Strasbourg, telling you history and legends about our culture, the duality of the Alsatian identity, and of course our amazing cathedral and its 1000 years of history! Not forgetting the Strasbourg of nowadays, with its gastronomic culture, modern life, and nice addresses. The foundation of our homes and the old legends shared in the families will have no secrets for you any more. The meeting point is always in front of the Cathedral, at the corner with rue Mercier. The guide is holding a big ORANGE sign with "HAPPY Free Tour" on it, can't miss him! ;) The Happy Original Tour runs every day from last week of March to first week of January (only Saturdays & Sundays out of these dates). (no need for reservation, only show up a few minutes in advance) :

Ann greeted us at the Strasbourg cathedral, she took us around and shared a lot of insights and interesting facts, keeping it light and funny :) the walk is was very relaxed, lots of stops and sightseeing that made it very accessibile. Ann was also super helpful when we asked for extra info about our stay and where to go, perfect tour guide!

Waren gestern mit Thomas zur Happy Free Tour unterwegs. Die Tour startete am Münster,, und endete nach guten 2 Std.am Place Kleber, der Weihnachtsmarkt mit dem großen Weihnachtsbaum. Thomas war ein sehr lustiger Reiseleiter, er wusste immer eine Antwort und ist sicher sehr bekannt, bei den vielen Winken und zurufen wenn wir auf andere Gruppen treffen. Die Tour kann ich nur empfehlen, nehmt zur jetzigen Zeit dicke Jacke, gute Schuhe, Mütze und Handschuhe mit. Strassbourg im Nebel kann nach einer 2 Std. Tour ziemlich kalt werden. Nicht so für Thomas, er lief die ganze Tour ohne Handschuhe,, was für ein Guide...

This was an excellent tour. In a very enjoyable way, we learned a lot about the history of France, the Alsace and Strasbourg, and how history is reflected in architecture, current laws, and what it means to be Alsatian. We are now interested to do the other Free Tours in Strasbourg as well.

Tour is of perfect length, and gives a fair historical perspective of the City, without Any French Nationalistic jabs. Started and ended at cathedral with a thought through Route via Part of german, canals, a handful of Square (Kleber, verbrennte Hof,…). Recommended

“Review of Thomas”
We visited Straßbourg only for a day and with the free walking tour we saw most of the important monuments and sights in a very short time. Thomas gave us the important information on the city. We would really recommend Thomas as a guide.
