The Happy Original Tour will take you to the main places and monuments of Strasbourg, telling you history and legends about our culture, the duality of the Alsatian identity, and of course our amazing cathedral and its 1000 years of history! Not forgetting the Strasbourg of nowadays, with its gastronomic culture, modern life, and nice addresses. The foundation of our homes and the old legends shared in the families will have no secrets for you anymore. The meeting point is always in front of the Cathedral, at the corner of rue Merciere. The guide is holding a big ORANGE sign with "HAPPY Free Tour" on it, can't miss him! ;) The Happy Original Tour runs every day from the last week of March to the first week of January (only Saturdays & Sundays out of these dates). (No need for a reservation, only show up a few minutes in advance) :

“An excellent tour of Strassbourg with Remy”

We walked the Original Tour with Remy on Thursday, 6 November·14:30 – 16:15 and really enjoyed the experience. What made it special was the preception that Remy really enjoys what he is doing and spoke about "us" (the people of Strassbourg) from the heart and with high competence and deepest respect. Remy made this an exceptional experience because of his excellence in English language skills, history, very diverse architecture, knowledge of French, Alsacian and German cultures and languages. Thanks, we would not want to miss this. It would have been even more useful with a bit more information about the whereabouts and hows of the European Parliament, Council of Europe and Human Rights Court.

“Fun and Informative ”

Gabriel was a passionate communicator of the history of Strabourg and the region of Alsace. He shared history, stories and humor along the way and we really enjoyed the tour. We had a couple of exposures to rain, but he quickly guided our group to a sheltered area and continued his tour. My only suggestion, because of the rain we may have been a little behind his normal schedule for this tour. His pace was a bit fast for a couple of older people in the tour, but everyone else adjusted well. Thank you Gabriel, we really enjoyed your tour and we recommend this to to all! Merci beaucoup!

Wir hatten eine tolle Tour mit einem sehr witzigen Guide. Ein Joke nach dem anderen. Er hat bei unserem Stadtrundgang für Stimmung gesorgt und er hatte eine anregende interaktive Gesprächsführung. Es war interessant die Stadt aus seiner Perspektive kennenzulernen. Es wurden wohl die wichtigsten Punkte abgelaufen, und es gab die wichtigsten Infos und witzige Anekdoten. Wer eine Menge an Infos erwartete wurde nicht bedient, wohl aber bereicherte die Tour mit Charme und Witz, so blieb ein belebter und bildhafter Eindruck von Strassbourg.

I feel we saw all the important places while Thomas explained different history of the Strasbourg town, war and architecture. We had opportunities to sit which I feel is always essential. Thomas was funny and was encouraging us to ask lots of questions too. Overall great tour with great facts and great sightseeing!

You can ask him about anything remotely Strasbourg- or Alsace-related, he'll probably knows a whole lot about it.
