The National Bank, the University, the Campus, the National Library, the Academy of Sciences, the Nikola Karev High School, the National Opera and Ballet House, the National Post, the Student Dormitory Goce Delcev, the buildings in the city center. Built in the time after the big earthquake in 1963, these buildings represent the time of the architectonic awakening of the Yugoslavian style in the '70s. This style is also called Brutalist architecture. Brutalist buildings are characterized by minimalist constructions that showcase bare building materials and structural elements over decorative design. The style commonly makes use of exposed, unpainted concrete or brick, angular geometric shapes, and a predominantly monochrome color palette. A 3-hour tour and a visit to all these unique things is a true pleasure.
