“Walking Tour around Santa Ana ”

Carlos was amazing!! The tour started nice and smooth as he messaged me on WhatsApp letting me know his eta and meeting location. He taught us plenty about Salvadoran culture, religion, history and most importantly the people who have grown up here. We visited so many cool places including local markets for fresh fruit, the best authentic restaurants (including pupusas of course) and even some cute spots for a nice relaxing coffee. He always asked how we were doing to make sure we weren’t tired and let us keep the pace. I would recommend this tour to everyone and anyone visiting Santa Ana! Make it your first activity here and it will give you a list of places to visit during your stay.

“Missed connection but fixed. ”

Somehow, Carlos and I missed each other for the morning trip. The meeting point was crowded and it just didn’t work out. He was very proactive about it and invited me to join the afternoon tour. It was wonderful. I wish I had done this on my first day because it was so informative. Alas, I’m leaving tomorrow for Lake Coatapeque so I won’t get to visit many of the spots I learned about today. Carlos is very enthusiastic and engaging. I can highly recommend this tour.

Carlos was truly amazing and showed us all the good spots in santa ana. it was really interesting and you could ask him anything! we went to so many different spots and hidden places you would never come across yourself. Can’t recommend enough, especially doing it first thing when you get here as he gives you so many recommendations which you can try afterwards. it was just the two of us when we did it so we even had a „private tour“ Had the beste time, thanks again carlos annica and marleen from germany <3

“One of the best tours I’ve ever been on in a country”

Wow. No words. I can’t stop recommending this walking tour to people. Carlos is a FANTASTIC tour guide. He speaks both English and spanish switching between the two to suit everyone in the group, taught me SO many things about typical food, fruits, paid for lots of foods and drinks we could taste and we met so many locals that he asked questions to, about how they feel about El Salvador now and the political situation. It was truly enlightening. Carlos is kind, friendly and fun and the three and a bit hours FLEW by. Honestly, book here.

“Had a great tour with Carlos!”

Carlos was amazing. He was super friendly and enthusiastic the whole time. We happened to be the only two people on the tour, so we could ask anything at any time, which was really nice. He talked about many different topics, so it didn’t get boring at any time of that rather long tour. “Was okay ”

The tour was okay. I was the only one which meant we didn’t really spend so much time in all the places we were. The tour only last around 1.30h. As there is not much to see in Santa Ana, i hadn’t expected to see lots of spots. But it was a bit of a pity that the guide didn’t even tell mich about the places we saw.. it was more of just walking through the old town. If I’d eat meat, i could have tasted many things he showed me. It was basically a 70% food tour. As I am veggy though, that was not really for me.
