If you're passionate about discovering the history of El Salvador's capital, walking its streets with a local, and meeting fellow travellers, this tour is for you. We'll meet at the National Library by the stairs in front of Gerardo Barrios Plaza, right in the heart of the city, to dive into the history and intriguing stories of San Salvador. What will we visit? -Plaza Gerardo Barrios (tour starting point in front of the National Library ) -Plaza Libertad, where the city was founded -El Rosario Church (Entrance NOT included: $1 USD for locals, $2 USD for foreigners) -Metropolitan Cathedral -Archbishop Romero’s Crypt -Central Market, you’ll have the chance to taste traditional Salvadoran dishes. Keep in mind: *Wear comfortable shoes for a 2-hour 45 to 3-hour walk. *Bring 1 litre of water or buy it in a nearby store. Don’t forget sunscreen and consider bringing a hat. *Come ready to meet other travellers and learn about San Salvador’s history.
