“Excellent Introduction to San Jose & Costa Rica”

Would highly recommend this tour. Our guide Pablo was extremely well informed, clearly loved his country and gave us insights into the City, the country and the people that I probably wouldn't have picked up from a guide book. Although it was 2 hours we only walked about a mile.

Jorge was fantastic. We have gone on the Free Tours in several cities and this one, like all the others, was excellent. Jorge was well informed and gave us wonderful information about San Jose. “quality seeker”

Our guide was Pablo. The tour was listed as 2.5 hours. However, Pablo decided that we stop at Colonial (Hotel) Cafe and encourage us to try coffee and snacks. There was a family in our group hoarding the line with endless orders (an order after another order after another order, etc...) at the cafe. Pablo had no control over it, wait was forever, I gave up on ordering standing behind this family. Pablo ended up having us stay at cafe for ~ 45minutes. The total tour ended up lasting ~ 3.5 hours after all this. Throughout the tour, Pablo was trying to be humorous or funny, but maybe too much to the point credibility has to be questioned.

“Great Tour”

The guide was extremely well informed with lots of excellent info about San Jose. The tour group was very large and awkward to organize so that everyone could hear. Groups should be limited to 10-15 people max. I have a bad hip and the pace of the tour was very good, but, please, if you are going to stop and talk for ten minutes straight, find a place where people can sit and not directly in the full sun. Other than those points, the tour was excellent.
