Things to do Free Walking Tour through Pelourinho

The viewpoint at Castro Alves Square is one of the main entrances to Pelourinho, and it is here where we will start our tour. Leaving Castro Alves Square and following Chile Street, we will reach Thomé de Souza Square, where we will pass by the Rio Branco Palace, the "Tira Chapéu" mansion, and make a stop next to the famous Lacerda Elevator to learn about its history in detail. As we proceed to Sé Square, we will learn about the history of the Primatial Cathedral of Sé, which was demolished in 1933. Shortly after, we will visit the Fallen Cross monument to also learn about its history and connection to the old cathedral. We will pass by the statues of Brazil's first bishop and Zumbi dos Palmares, follow the colorful houses of Terreiro de Jesus Square, Largo do Cruzeiro de São Francisco, and the Olodum House, and finally reach the heart of Salvador's historical center, the first capital of Brazil. It’s a pleasure to welcome you to our city.

Speedy tour and speedy explanations. Chasing me for payment less than 24hrs after the tour when I told the guide Id pay him as I left the tour earlier. I always pay by the following day the latest via the Freetour app and never had an issue or a guide chasing me. This is embarrassing.

Nos tocó a Sidnei como guía. El tour en si está bueno, te cuenta historias y vas recorriendo hasta llegar al Pelourinho entendiendo la influencia histórica. Estaría bueno que se sumen algunos otros puntos más alejados ya que el recorrido en si es bastante corto .
