This charming neighborhood is home to cultural centers, museums and a welcoming bohemian community. Our journey may begin with a scenic tram ride into the heart of Santa Teresa. [As there are some problems with the tram and lines can be of 2 hours waiting - unless you show your id being over 65 yo, we walk to Santa Teresa and use the tram to come down, if possible]. In Santa Teresa, we’ll walk approximately 3 to 4 km, exploring its main attractions like the iconic Selarón Stairway in Lapa, the third most visited site in Rio. Old houses and palaces, the historic Lapa Aqueduct, Gloria Maria Cultural Center with it wonderful view of the bay and lots of art during the walk.
